A wide coalition unites to ‘Shred SB1’ at Ohio State University – Matter News Taking place today (Tuesday, March 4), the protest is designed to draw attention to an expansive higher education bill currently being pushed by Republican politicians in the state.

Tuesday March 4th is #NoOnSB1 Day of Action time -- it is time to stand up, so where will you be?
If you're in Columbus, hopefully you'll show your support and be at the Oval, near the Thompson statue, 1pm-4pm. Great speakers, chants, and much more all in the works....

Tomorrow (Tues Mar 4) is #NoOnSB1 day of action! At the same moment SB1's sponsor will be proposing + defending his bill to a House Committee, faculty, students, staff, alumni, & community members around the state will be engaged in campus activities to demonstrate opposition. #StopSB1

Also - at the #Ohio Statehouse examples of not being inclusive are everywhere - they keep thr place lit like a fireside chat circa 1800s, which makes it very difficult to read ANYTHING if you have even a mild visual impairment.

First we were in The Crypt as the 2nd overflow room, now we're in a hallway outside the Senate Chamber with like 3 benches. We all submitted testimony 24 hours ahead and this is the incompetence and able-ist bs we're met with.
