Eight years ago today, on February 14th, 2018, a 19-year-old gunman opened fire inside #MarjoryStonemanDouglas High School in #Parkland, Florida. Fourteen students and three adult staff members lost their lives. Another 15 students and two adults were wounded but survived.

20 children went to school on Dec. 14th, 2012 and never came home. All were in 1st grade, aged 7 or 8 years old. 12 girls, 8 boys, and 6 adult educators were fatally shot in a span of 5 minutes.

We remember. We'll keep fighting for better laws and safer schools. Join us.

McDonough County chief deputy’s weapon discharges in preschool parking lot A cookout was being held near the parking lot and several people, including students, were nearby. No one was injured.

Thankfully, no one was injured this time, but it reminded us that every human makes mistakes, and mistakes involving firearms are some of the most dangerous.

Yesterday, we began assembly of a portable memorial for victims of school shootings. Eventually, we hope to have one (shirt+pants) outfit to represent each of the over 400* American children killed by gun violence at school. 💔
