I don't understand why christians don't understand that this is what they are supporting, as they continue to ignore the inconsistencies in the bible.

It's incredibly hard to walk away from religion, but religion is inherently divisive.

Christians only started saying this when everyone was able to read. "Your pastor must translate everything for you. You, simple person, can't understand what you're reading."

Many people have experienced events that they know could not have occurred if not by the power of God.

I am one of them.

I believe it happens to everyone, and it gives people a way to move away from anyone who tries to tell you what to believe.

And all religions exclude others if those people won't sign on the dotted line that their belief system is the one that is true, and they will agree to identify anyone outside of their religion as evil.

When a religion requires their congregation to accept one god as your savior & follows a book that says that savior was removing demons from people (Luke 4.33-41), then that country's president says the devil resides in a specific group of people, religion is a problem.

We just see that the foundations of religion are incredibly poorly written, making it inconsistent/therefore unbelievable, and it's divisive.

Imagine if every building that religious people separate themselves in were open to everyone as places to connect. No. I don't want to hear one religion's prayers. I don't want to hear one religion's songs. We need new all-inclusive ones.

One that some people may struggle with is the fact that many of us on the left have strong beliefs about the nature of God.
