Day 30 - worked this AM, had Tday leftovers, & watched both Blade Runner movies. Thats a wrap on #NoSpendNovember 2025 and I did well, considering the absolute derailment the first half of the month took. Going into December looking forward to cozy days, reading, & hopefully more walking/woods. <3
#NoSpendNovember Day 29 - Did nothing on Black Friday except work & host Teen's pal for a sleepover. Big all-day snow in Chicago today, so I shoveled 3 times, took MIL to get an Xmas tree, turned a bunch of leftover stuff into turkey chili, & started the last season of my beloved Stranger Things. <3

Husband cooked a lovely Thanksgiving meal for family & friends, then took a walk to drop our turkey carcas into the Chicago food scraps bins to become compost and then we had 3 pies. Now zzzzzzz & waiting to see if this supposedly epic winter storm will amount to anything.
Raising the cost of everything will create an artificial increase on paper ... at first. 😈

21 & 22 were spent doing school, working - and moving furniture across Chicago and back again for family, but we were rewarded with Chinese food. Now Im gonna spend a lazy AM reading and then Teen is going to a musical.

Ran coats to the coat drive & walked around Andersonville with my sister in law. Ordered a book from Women & Children First to be a Christmas present. (Best bookstore.) Took my mother in law some Minestrone & helped her with some moving tasks. Planned the week ahead. <3

Made an enormous pot of Minestrone (seriously it fed 10 & will be dinner again tomorrow) and had friends over for Cranium and Jackbox games. Gather your friends and feed them. Several brought coats for me to take to a coat drive tomorrow, too! <3

It snowed, we did school (started a new unit study around PARKED), I packed lunches, Teen went to rehearsal, I dropped items at Goodwill & redeemed a free Bath & Body Works product coupon, kids had a snowball fight. Now home to make dinner & read before I work tomorrow. <3
#NoSpendNovember Day 9 - I'm up early (its snowy!) plotting what's needed for the week ahead/resetting life after the past week's chaos. Groceries, laundry, & school planning need to happen. I'm gonna make some tea & call both my parents. I have a few things Teen outgrew to list on Buy Nothing too.

You don't have to buy all new stuff for every holiday every year bc of trends/influencers. As a thrifter, SO much holiday microtrend stuff just winds up at Goodwill. So much so that I think of it as landfill-core now. The stuff you already have is probably perfectly fine. <3
