Mike Johnson was unopposed in his first election. Incumbency has helped him since then.

There was no Dem candidate in his district in '22 or '24.

This year we MUST have #NoUncontestedSeats ANYWHERE so folks angry with Rcons have someone to vote for.

Micro Johnson will have an opponent this year!

The RNC is likely to launch a lot of punitive primaries against every House member who votes with Dems on anything. And it always helps us when the incumbent is kicked out of the race.

But it's up to Democrats to make sure they don't run unopposed in November. When it counts.

They didn't bother to look for an appropriate candidate.

No one wanted to run in an R+22 district. She was a placeholder.

But now that we know a flawed candidate can get close, perhaps a stronger candidate will try next time.

This is why No Uncontested Seats is so important.

Behn is a young relatively new member of the TN legislature. Some establishment types saw her as a mere placeholder, a name on the ballot so Van Epps wouldn't run unopposed.

Then it turned into a race! Rcons had to put effort into it & even call in tRUmp! They were NOT happy!!

That means #VoteEveryYear: keep reminding everyone we have to vote a LOT more often than once every four years.

That means #NoUncontestedSeats: always get a D name on the ballot, so we know exactly how many Blue drops are in an area, instead of just assuming a district is impossibly out of reach.
