A small desert plant with a single, vibrant flower growing on sandy soil. The flower has a bright yellow center, a dark blackish ring, and vivid blue to purple petals. The leaves are small, green, and covered in fine hairs. The background shows dry, rocky soil with sparse vegetation.
Nolana reichei #Solanaceae is a coastal endemic from the southern #AtacamaDesert, #Chile. Like many Nolana spp., it has a fleshy taproot.
