Today whilst eating lunch I saw my fav ooze of slimy delight…

One of the so called ‘blue-green algae’

They can be found suspended within the water, but are often attached to rocks and other damp surfaces where they form large clumps

Not a fungus, but a bacterial colony, which if dried can remain viable to resuscitate for 100 years. #NostocCommune. Only come across this once before. An amazing, simple life form. Eaten as a salad in the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, China, Taiwan. Lovely jubbly. #cyanobacteria #ItsLifeJim
