NaNoWriMo lives on in the hearts and minds of every soul who sits down in November—or anytime really—to meet a ridiculous, completely impossible writing goal.

Not my best, but certainly not my worst! Finished this year’s novel A Whole Latke Problems at 50,075 words! It’s my 20th year writing a novel in November! 🥳

Yeah. I'll go to sleep, and my brain will get much needed rest, and I'll try to write the finale tomorrow. I did a goodly amount, today, considering I'm operating on three-ish hours of sleep? Page 109, 20,060 words. #NotNaNoWriMo
augh grar I don't know HOW
Maybe I just need sleep. I've been up all day.
#NotNaNoWriMo
Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god.
Now I just have to write the finale...
#NotNaNoWriMo
Four scenes... #NotNaNoWriMo
Five more scenes. #NotNaNoWriMo
Well, that's a bit of a bummer to go to bed on... Page 88, 15,983 words. #NotNaNoWriMo
Oh. The "third act break-up" scene snuck up on me... #NotNaNoWriMo
Okay. Almost page 81. Put a lot of description in this scene, 14538 words. Jeez, you're not writing a novel, Aaron. #NotNaNoWriMo.
Page 72, 12907 words. #NotNaNoWriMo
It's supposed to be a supernatural romantic comedy, but I'm not worrying too much about the humor in the first draft. Still, some of the situations I planned were for comedic effect, and it turns out I've planned more humorous situations with the female cast than the male... #NotNaNoWriMo
That's the beginning of page 62. At this point, I have a list of 11 more "scenes" or scenarios or whatever that have to be hit to reach the ending I'm planning (originally almost 30, I've knocked most of them out). Maybe I need to add a few more scenes? Word count: 11,297 words. #NotNaNoWriMo
All right. 54 pages, 10,048 words. I need a sleep.
#NotNaNoWriMo
Oh, god. I'm in the middle of an important but not-quite pivotal scene, and It's a half an hour until midnight and I'm losing focus... #NotNaNoWriMo
Been writing irregular the past few days. Hopefully, I'll make up some time this weekend. For now, I'm almost on page 50, with 9147 words in. #NotNaNoWriMo
Okay. That starts the 45th page (and hopefully the halfway point, or close to it), with 8418 words (which aren't important for screenplays). #NotNaNoWriMo
FINALLY WRITING OUT THE PREMISE OF THE DUMB THING #NotNaNoWriMo

10510 today.
And a #writingtip from the past.

Well it's your #nanonano #notnanowrimo I was just having fun with it trying to parody Star Trek in a 60's serial style 🤣

Now that's the first act.
Yes, I deliberately wrote it so that you could end it about six minutes before the act break to have a semi-decent short film...

Eight years ago, I finished #Nanowrimo on this day, 3 November (20K, 18K & 12K words, if you're wondering). I don't recommend trying this without a lot of practice.
Today, I'm at 7783, a nice place to be. Although sometimes I miss the days when writing was easy.

5154 words. In the middle of the 28th page/minute. I think that could actually make a half-decent short film. Of course, there's more I have planned. Mwahahahaha!!! #NotNaNoWriMo
A red box marked 0 to 50000, with a black line about 1/10 of the way along
Day 2 brings me to 5169. I think 2500 words a day is a nice amount. (I've had problems in the past writing want to write too much each day. (Seriously.))
Even better, MC has found a voice and a temporary motivation.
