SB 1002 Prince George's County - Alcoholic Beverages - Class AER (Equity Retail) License

"Establishing a Class AER (equity retail) beer, wine, and liquor license in Prince George's County; authorizing the Board of License Commissioners for Prince George's County to issue the license to an applicant that is certified as a minority business enterprise by the county for use only in certain areas, subject to certain requirements; limiting to 2 licenses per year and a total of 10 licenses under the Act the number of Class AER licenses that the Board may issue; and authorizing an annual license fee of $910." *(AER isn't *quite* a full acronym; Maryland liquor licenses are mostly distinguished by different letters but they can have certain subcategories which do have acronyms, eg this subcategory of Class A ("Alcohol dispensaries, supermarkets, & convenience stores") for "equity retail").

Good afternoon & welcome to a relatively quick #NotableMarylandBills! No actual bill hearings today but I figured this was as good a day as any to catch up w/ the handful of original chamber bills heard last week & a few big ones making their way over to the opposite chamber...

Good afternoon & welcome to the first post-Crossover edition of #NotableMarylandBills for #MDGA26! We've got one (1) House straggler & a couple bills from each chamber hoping to gain favor on the other side of Lawyers Mall today so let's dig in...

Good afternoon & welcome to the last #NotableMarylandBills thread before Crossover. To be quite honest, I haven't yet decided what, if anything, I'm going to do w/ the thread for the last 3 weeks of #MDGA26; if previous experience is any indication, probably not much....

Good morning & welcome to the penultimate #NotableMarylandBills of #MDGA26 before Crossover! Only 3 committees today, all in the House, only 1 tomorrow, also in the House & the one tomorrow is only hearing 2 bills & tbh one of those 2 is pretty dry so that's going to be a real quick one...

Good morning & welcome to another brief (& in this case, House-only) Wed. edition of #NotableMarylandBills! Only 4 committees are hearing bills today & we're just not really doing big bills at this point...

Good morning & welcome to the Tues. edition of #NotableMarylandBills! Today's a *little* busier than Mon. if still rather on the light side as both chambers spend way more time on the floor than in committee hearing rooms but still busy enough...

Good morning & welcome to the Mon. edition of #NotableMarylandBills & w/ it the start of the last wk. before Crossover (When, based off the past few years, I expect this thread to die down at least a little bit). Just one committee w/ bill hearings today: House Rules & Executive Nominations..

Good afternoon & welcome, a day late, to the Fri. edition of #NotableMarylandBills! It's been a pretty hectic pace in Annapolis over the last month or so when it comes to new bill hearings but we've finally reached the point where that abruptly shifts in the opposite direction as Crossover looms...

Good morning & welcome to the first Monday edition of #NotableMarylandBills for #MDGA26. It's not a long one, less because of last night's snowstorm & more because it's the House of Delegates' turn to have Liquor Law Day today & most of the highlights got covered when the Sen. had their turn on Fri.
