She was married to Mr J. Barford, of Hadley Avenue, Anson Estate, Manchester and died after giving birth to a daughter, who sadly died the day after. Edith is buried in Manchester Southern Cemetery, Lancashire, UK - Grave Reference: M. CE. 2367. Her baby daughter is in a pauper's grave which listed about a dozen other names so they weren't buried together. In fact because Edith was given a CWGC headstone, it stands alone in a large area of unmarked graves. Her husband married her sister 6 months later!
