Panels 1 and 2: From another angle, we see that the ball is in fact the round belly of Nyanko-sensei from Natsume's Book of Friends, who is sleeping with a blue bubble coming out of his nose. There are some rustling sounds, and Hinata's hands reaches him and squeezes his belly, causing Nyanko-sensei to open his eyes and the bubble to pop. Panels 3-6: Drunk Nyanko-sensei annoyingly yells "Who dares touch me?!" to which Hinata reacts with "Did this cat just talk?!" with a shocked expression on his face. Nyanko-sensei realizes that a human just heard his voice and tries to correct it with "I mean... meow?", while thinking to himself whether he should just eat the boy. Hinata's expression chances to suspicious as he thinks to himself that he smells sake. Panel 7: Hinata turns around as he hears someone's voice saying "....sei". Panel 8: A dark threat in the form of a large white cat with his mouth open is looming over Hinata, ready to eat him. Panel 9: The voice is heard yelling "Sensei", to which Nyanko-sensei reacts with "Geh". Panel 10: Takashi-Natsume steps into the scene, saying "Nyanko-sensei, here you are!" with a smile on his face. Panel 11: Hinata (oblivious to what was happening behind his back) is thinking "Nyanko... sensei?.." with a thoughtful expression.
Panel 1: a bigger shot of Natsume. He is holding a ball with his right hand and saying "Thank you for finding my cat!" with a smile. Panel 2: He follows it with the "My cat drank too much... milk last night" with an embarassed face. Panels 3-4: Nyanko-sensei annoyingly yells "No I didn't", following it with a "I mean... meow..." as he looks to the side. Panel 5: Hinata is speechless, with silence interrupted with a sound of a leaf flying by. Panel 6: Hinata looks down and exclaims "Ah! My ball!" Panel 7: Natsume is holding the ball up and says "Is it yours? I mistook it for sensei earlier and then just took it without thinking". Panel 8: a bigger shot of Natsume holding Nyanko-sensei in his hands, saying "It was nice to meet you! I'll be going now", and Nyanko-sensei says "Nyan-nyan!" while pretending to be just a normal cat.
