An interesting fact I learned at #OBS2025 is that many municipalities in Ontario have excess soil issues as a result of development and some have used that to build pumptracks. Not pop-ups, but still cool.

And that’s all they wrote. #OBS2025 was a wonderful experience bringing together experts and advocates from across the province and infrastructure staff from all levels of government. Eleanor knocked it out of the park!

Special nod for the folks at Bird for the rides!

We like to respond to "No one uses the bike lanes" with lots of data showing people do actually! But there's also a double standard: there are oceans of rural roads and cul de sacs that are used by extremely few cars, yet we don't question that they should exist or be maintained. #OBS2025

This morning Share the Road consulted with #OBS2025 participants about beginning a province-wide cycling education skills program. Really exciting news to normalize and make cycling accessible for future generations.

The #BikeBus movement is thriving in Waterloo! Bike Mayor @arcycle.bsky.social championing how this type of advocacy can support cities in making change. When other wards sought compromise, the ward with a bike bus supported the city's bold policy. #OBS2025

Thank you Counsellor Diane Freeman for taking the time to explain some important terms (AMO, MOU) at #obs2025 just now.

Explaining jargon is thoughtful, intentional accessibility at a conference.
