As someone who studied history, I love when a presentation explains the historical context. I used to do that in my intro to OA explaining the history of publishing. I think some people thought I was crazy, but I enjoyed it 😊

Really interesting that a study done during the Human Genome Project compared the impact between publicly funded shared data vs private data. Unsurprisingly, the impact of the shared data far outweighed that of the closed data.
Always good to be able to present the evidence.
