Elaen was born with black blood which means she is a child of Anknulym (a.k.a The Black Moon.) This blood causes her to have an insatiable appetite for the blood, flesh and suffering of humans. But, after being raised and taught by worshippers of Alvae (the true god), she knows Anknulym is a false god and rejects It by resisting her hunger and devoting herself to help mankind instead. However, Anknulym is a greedy, jealous and possessive god, and will not tolerate any rejection from Its children. So, the more Elaen tried to suppress her hunger and ignore Its voice, the harder and harder Anknulym pushed her to give It what It wants and, eventually, It won. She pulled the trigger on someone she once called a friend and swore to never kill, and rapes a woman she swore to forgive and let go. She is now no longer just a black-blooded child but on the path to becoming a Black Wolf.
