An old recipe from a vintage cookbook titled Calendar of Thrifty Recipes that claims to offer a delicious recipe for hot weather from pineapples, gelatin and pimentos, sliced onions and some sugar.
I do not think this would be good for hot weather. I think it would lead to dehydration from vomiting.

Recipe for "Grandma's Banana Bread" submitted by Bronte Miller, as follows: 1/2 cup oil 1 cup sugar 1 egg 3 mashed ripe bananas 3 Tbsp milk 1 tsp vanilla 1 + 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 + 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 to 1 cup pecans - chopped Blend together oil and sugar. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 350° F for 70 minutes. Incredibly moist!!!
It's basically this recipe from my sainted grandmother's Mt Hermon Church of the Brethren Women's Fellowship cookbook, minus the pecans, plus a cup of fresh blueberries 🫐 #recipe #oldcookbooks #family
