Good morning, lovelies. Happy Wednesday. How much noise is in your brain, or is it dadirri?

Edgy
The state of the world, of politics & war, of dissent & hatred, of petty violence & mass murder, of greed and lies, of deep fakes & shallow thinking, of tribalism & litmus tests, of aggressive religion & hardened hearts
…all of it has me feeling edgy

Rude
I pulled into a parking lot that was full to ask the attendant about parking options. Rather than answer my question, she yelled at me to leave and (said she) called the police. Why was her default mode rudeness? Was that fun for her? So dumb.

Unresponsive
I'm tired of people not responding to emails and texts. Effing unresponsive asshats.

Too
Everytjing is just too. Too much too little too loud too soft too fast too slow too everything
#OneWordWednesday
Irritating
Everything is irritating. The few things that are not irritating are temporary, which is irritating.

Myth
I live in a country founded on myths and matured through myths. We now hold these myths to be self-evident. We are not unique in this among nations. The ahistorical nature of history has a purpose, and rarely is it benevolent.

Forgiveness
I crave the comfort offered by my forgiveness of myself and others. However it is framed, forgivenes unshackles the inner self and lifts a burden we place on ourselves.

Luck
Good luck always comes in pairs with one good thing canceling completely or diminishing the other so that you can never have two independently good things at the same time. There is no such limit on bad luck.

Work
I have devoted a huge percentage of my adult life to this project I don't enjoy. Odd, right?

Normalize
We live in an age where bad behavior and breaking of longstanding social norms is being normalized. We are barraged by a neverending stream of false controversies fueled by misinformation and lies. It is only getting worse.

Forgotten
Did you just introduce yourself and tell me your name? It is already forgotten.

Birdsong
One of the joys of nature is being surrounded by the beautiful sound of birdsong.

Magpie
(My favourite bird, although it's hard to pick just one!)

Apocalyptic
All my dreams have turned apocalyptic as the darkness of our world deepens during my fitful slumber.

Blinders
Past a certain age, the number ascribed to you no longer reflects how you see yourself. "How old are you" is a question that has no sound. A single candle on a cake reflects the convergence of then and now. I wear the blinders.
