Club members saw some of the impact of their financial support of Kawartha Art Gallery earlier this month when they visited the not-for-profit gallery on the 2nd floor of the Lindsay library branch. A $2,500 donation was made to the Student Juried Art Exhibit.

Optimists recently dropped by Therapeutic Horse Riding In Lindsay (THRIL), which improves the lives of those with physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges with a horse therapy riding program. The club donated $5,000 that will be used to create a new accessible tack room.

Earlier this month, Optimists visited A Place Called Home to make a $2,000 club donation to the Lindsay Street South-based shelter official. The funding will go towards youth drop-in programs and related services.
