Year’s end: one body present in the small oratory.
New Year’s Day: one heart present through a screen.
The hermitage stays simple — but grace crosses thresholds we cannot.

St. Benedict delivering his Rule to St. Maurus and other monks of his order France, Monastery of St. Gilles, Nimes, 1129

Ever wondered how one becomes a Brother of Merciful Love? 🌿
Our formation is a path of prayer, work & mercy: postulancy, novitiate & vowed life under the Rule of St Benedict. Each step draws us deeper into the heart of Christ’s compassion. ✝️

Today our CFMD brothers gathered in Chapter. We amended & adopted our Constitution, confirmed Fr Julian as Abbot for a 6-year mandate, & placed all in God’s hands. May the Rule of St Benedict & the vow of merciful love guide our life together. ✝️🕊️ #OraEtLabora #MercifulLove

🌄 Ora et Labora.
Before the to-do list, before the coffee, before the noise—
Pray.
Then let your work become prayer.
Every email, every errand, every act of love:
offered, not just done.
Start the day Benedictine. Start with God.

Saint Benedict of Nursia, honored on July 11, taught us the balance of prayer, work, and rest. His teachings on community and simplicity still resonate, urging us to slow down and focus on spiritual life. #SaintBenedict #OraEtLabora ✝️

Against a bold yellow background, the image reads: "Lord God Almighty, in whose Name the founders of this country won liberty for themselves and for us, and lit the torch of freedom for nations then unborn: Grant that we and all the people of this land may have grace to maintain our liberties in righteousness and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. ¶ COLLECT FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY" In the upper left corner of the image is the diocesan shield. The shield features a two-sailed ship cutting confidently through waves against the backdrop of a sky with white fluffy clouds and three stars, one of which is larger than the other two which are of the same size.

#Brettspiele
