to absolutely no-one's surprise it seems that having a BPD diagnosis is going to get in the way of me seeking to get it changed to Bipolar
because of course questioning the validity of BPD is seen as a symptom of BPD

very telling that several of the immediate search results mention BPD / personality disorder even though i didn't hint at all toward what type of diagnosis

Personality disorder? ‘Complex emotional needs’
Discharge? ‘Warm handover’
Patient? ‘Service leader’

PD labels are sticky: they seem to inevitably turn up when someone’s in crisis, and then this label is used to deny care, compassion and treatment, even without a formal dx. Awfully convenient really. Labelling people with something they can use to justify a discharge. 🤔 #PDinthebin /END
I see the treatment Morgan received reflected in some of what my sister received before she died.
Morgan was treated with contempt rather than care by Meadowfield and the PD narrative no doubt contributed to this - just as it did for Fern.
She deserved so much better.
