Day 3 #PLPF9. Intermittent streams are abundant, have unique ecologies and must be better integrated into our overall stream concepts and policies. Final day of talks in this great meeting. A huge thank you to the organizers!

Day 2 #PLPF9. It's time to rethink the use of silver antimicrobials, microplastics in shower gels and presence of invasive plants in riparian zones if we want healthy freshwaters. Climate change, increased sediments, antifungals, antibiotics, heavy metals--so many stressors! 😱

1st day of #PLPF9 in beautiful Braga Portugal! Wow! Finally meeting some of my long-time fav scientists, finding new ones to add to that list, and learning tons. Also-got to share my work on #Tetracladium with a room full of people who KNOW how important #aquaticfungi are 🥳
