Linda Chatters won the 2025 Distinguished Career Achievement Award from the Society for Social Work and Research.

This award recognizes individuals who have cumulative career accomplishments that set them apart from other leaders in social work research. Awardees are recognized for advancing the state of the art of social work research and/or its utilization, and exhibiting outstanding contributions in the following domains: scholarship, a rigorous approach to social work research, a major impact or significantly raising public education or awareness in a substantive area, or a major contribution to the social work profession. The award presentation highlighted Dr. Chatters' tremendous body of work and far-reaching impact.
