Cash for Rent provides a lifeline for #PalestineRefugees who have been forcibly displaced from their homes in camps in the northern #WestBank. Access to #SafeShelter is a human right and a basic need during emergencies.

For several years, the #PalestineRefugees of Umm al Kheir in the South Hebron Hills have been facing settler harassment and violence, home demolitions and administrative measures that cumulatively erode the way of life of this Bedouin community that @unrwa.org serves.

UNRWA came into being in the aftermath of the 1948 conflict, to protect and serve #PalestineRefugees in accordance with its General Assembly mandate. @UNRWA remains indivisible from the UN family, and is core to the developmental and humanitarian architecture in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The camp residents must have access to their homes, and be allowed to return without delay. @unrwa.org schools and teachers prepare for children to start the new school year, and health centres stand ready to receive patients again. #PalestineRefugees must be supported to rebuild and recover.

For the past months, the northern #WestBank has witnessed an uninterrupted stream of mass demolitions by Israeli Security Forces, and orders trying to justify them. @unrwa.org has called repeatedly for these demolitions to stop, and for #PalestineRefugees to be allowed to return home.
For #PalestineRefugees from Tulkarm Camp, the feast of Eid Al Adha was overshadowed by a new spate of demolitions in the already forcibly emptied camp. Bulldozers set to work, executing previously issued demolition orders that had already seen dozens of houses demolished in nearby Nur Shams camp.
