Both my husband and I didn’t have Bachelors in our fields bc they didn’t exist as you now see them when we were in college. They were embryonic, often part of larger arts degrees, but not full programs.
A lot of requirements evolved abt 15 years after college.

No Bachelors here. It was very much understood when I went to school in the 90s for graphic design that if you were a) poor and b) talented, you could save yourself a pile of student debt by jumping into work with an Associates & your portfolio.
