How to Create Beautiful Surface Patterns Using AI (Even If You’re a Beginner) There’s something magical about surface pattern design. The way a simple idea can turn into a repeating pattern—something that can live on fabric, wallpaper, journals, and home decor—it feels like creating your own little world. But for a long time, pattern design felt… complicated. You needed advanced software, years of experience, and a lot of technical knowledge just to get started. And if you’ve ever opened a blank canvas and thought, “I don’t even know what to make…” you’re not alone. Here is a link to the class: https://www.skool.com/ai-surface-pattern-3063/about --- ✨ A New Way to Design What if creating patterns could feel easy, intuitive, and even a little bit magical? With AI tools like ChatGPT and MidJourney, you can now: • Generate endless pattern ideas in seconds • Create stunning artwork in your favorite styles (Art Nouveau, vintage botanical, cottagecore… you name it) • Turn simple prompts into fully realized designs • Explore your creativity without feeling stuck or overwhelmed Instead of staring at a blank screen, you’re collaborating with AI—and it opens up an entirely new creative flow. --- 🌸 From Idea to Pattern (Without the Overwhelm) One of the biggest challenges in pattern design is simply knowing where to start. That’s why I teach a simple formula: Style + Subject + Layout For example: Art Nouveau + moths + flowing repeat Cottagecore + strawberries + scattered layout Victorian + florals + mirrored repeat This one shift alone can unlock hundreds of pattern ideas. And the best part? You don’t have to do it alone. --- 🎨 Bringing Your Patterns to Life Once you have your idea, AI helps you turn it into something real. You can: • Use MidJourney to generate seamless pattern artwork • Refine your prompts with ChatGPT until the style feels just right • Create cohesive collections (perfect for Spoonflower 👀) • Experiment with colors, density, and layout without starting over This is where things start to feel really fun—because you’re no longer limited by time or tools. --- 💻 Turning Your Designs Into Income Surface pattern design isn’t just creative—it can also become a source of income. Platforms like Spoonflower allow you to upload your patterns and sell them on: • Fabric • Wallpaper • Home decor • And more Imagine someone choosing your design for their home. It’s a different kind of creative fulfillment—and yes, it can become passive income over time. --- 🌿 Why I Created This Class I created this class because I know how overwhelming it can feel to start something new—especially something that seems technical. I also know how powerful it feels when things finally click. This class is designed to take you from: 👉 “I don’t know where to start” to 👉 “I’m creating patterns I actually love” Step by step, in a way that feels approachable and inspiring. --- ✨ What You’ll Learn Inside the Class • How to generate unlimited pattern ideas • How to write MidJourney prompts for seamless designs • How to refine and improve your results using ChatGPT • How to create repeat patterns (without confusion) • How to prepare your designs for Spoonflower and print-on-demand • How to start turning your designs into income No overwhelm. No complicated tech skills required. Here is a link to the class: https://www.skool.com/ai-surface-pattern-3063/about

Prototype one is complete. I did make some feet but now I'm unsure if I want to add them. I do think there are some tweaks I want to make in the next attempt. Any thoughts?

I'm working on my own crochet pattern to make my little creatures come to life. I've tried two different ears and I'm sure about neither of them! They're quite thick, though the one on the right definitely feels thicker.
