When living in Dundee, Mary Shelley also spent time visiting Perthshire. Perth is mentioned in Frankenstein a couple of times but her book The Last Man is largely set in Perthshire.

Out for a walk today and passed Frances Gordon Road, one of the few Perth streets named for a woman. Frances was a militant suffragette who was force-fed in Perth Prison. She's one of our #PerthWomenOnWikipedia - we added the street sign to her article!

Philanthropist Enriqueta Rylands was an aunt of Camilla Bruce (1871-1959) who married AK Bell of Bell's Whisky. Enriqueta may have inspired the couple's philanthropy as they set up Gannochy Trust. A park in Bridgend #Perth is named for Camilla and we created her Wikipedia page
