An ashen battlefield atop the pale city. The ground is ash and bones, and a low stone railing obscured by mist gives way to an epic view of the black-and-gold Scadutree and its veils. The sky beyond is yellow cloud around the obscured sun, dipping into bruise-green as the cloud cover recedes. A spiralling tower of grey stone cuts vertically across the view, beside a small domed tower topped in red terracotta.
An ashen battlefield atop the city, where a single shard of Grace shines from broken paving beneath a yellow sky. A broken stone railing topped with robed statues curves around to the right, to a vast throne of ash and bone, eroded stairs leading up to a cleft between two towers thronged with stone bodies hanging like ivy. The top of the towers is a crescent, throning the bright sun as it fails to fully pierce the cloud.
Gille the Confessor stands before Miquella's throne, her sword and shield at the ready, and with Miquella's rune a crescent above her golden circlet. The two pillars of the throne loom against a dark yellow sky, the stone bodies that clamber up the stonework looking disturbingly like tortured souls so close up. The rising sun shines golden through the cleft at the heart of the throne, blazing down on her and casting bright godrays down over her shoulders.
Deep below the cerulean coast, in a purple-drenched chamber we've visited before, Saint Trina lies dead on the floor. Her vivid purple hair flows outwards from her outstretched arm, and her purple robes stand like a poisonous flower in her wake. A glorious wisp of white and gold rises from her corpse.

A view across upper Enir-Ilim, where stalactite-like columns descend from the top-most layer above, and vast pillars with spiral carvings hold up the roof. The sky is filled with yellow clouds, and a stripe of greyish-green sky can be seen below.
A ceremonial garden on the way up to the most sacred places in the city. An evenly-spaced row of golden trees grows along the left hand side, interspersed with statues of lions, and to the right, the path curves round to the foot of a long flight of stairs up to an octagonal domed building beneath the hanging pillars above. Beyond, the buildings grow ever-more magnificent, with heavy porticoes of grey stone and multi-tiered domes.

The room is dim aside from a shaft of light coming from the left, and a purple wisp sits at the foot of a three-tiered grey stone altar at the far side of the room. The pillars in each corner of the room are carved in a diamond pattern, and low sets of stairs lead up into alcoves in each direction.

A large octagonal chamber in Enir-Ilim, with spiralling columns in each corner of the room, and a pair of golden-leaved trees flanking an archway leading to a wide set of stairs. There are concentric circle patterns inlaid into the floor, and a bright stone shines from atop a rumpled carpet in the centre of the room. The walls are decorated with hanging banners and storage shelves, and an altar-like structure with horned candlesticks and stone tablets carrying a single carved figure, as if a portable shrine.
A peaceful octagonal chamber at the top of one of Enir-Ilim's towers. Each wall has three arched windows, and the sky beyond is filled with pink-orange clouds. The evening sunlight shines in gently from the left, drawing attention to the crisp concentric circles of the mosaiced floor. There are a few jars beside a staircase railing leading down, but otherwise the room is empty.
A dark chamber shortly after sunset, filled with objects of ritual significance. The floor is decorated with concentric circles of mosaics, and a corpse with a flaming head sits crossed-legged on a ragged carpet, facing an altar covered with a faded cloth and lit by white candles. Behind the altar are two rows of carved effigies of venerated people, each carved to a different size and arrayed so the taller figures are most central in each group. There are ornate candlesticks and small metal arks, stone pillars topped with horned candelabra, and various finely-crafted jars and pots scattered around the altar.
