had trouble logging in to their gateway so I couldn’t point the routers default DNS to the pihole machine just yet, but got their smart TVs going manually & have remote management set up at least.

the docker container was a nightmare to get running but I finally have #pihole blocking domains and bullshit ads on my home network & even got a second pc prepped with Debian + pkgs so I can do same with the network at my folks house.

Derzeit blockt unser piHole hier mehr als 75% aller Anfragen ins Internet, und trotzdem funktioniert alles.

hmm. for months my #pihole on my rpi0 was running alright using #unbound, and all of a sudden a high amount of addresses are not found (results come back as SERVFAIL). why tho? what changed?

hmm... besides me running an upgrade to the latest debian.

Been messing about with a Raspberry Pi Zero. Have turned mine into a PiHole. Which is an ad blocker. Been testing it on my phone for the last 24 hrs and it’s very impressive, blocking almost all ads.
Plenty of stats too.
