They are just unauthorized and not exactly favored by those in power, but they definitely exist
My friend has a version of his main OC for my AU, and that OC operates a sanctuary for rescued Pikmin
Olimar isn't the only activist out there :3

the ship design is NOT finalized but some of the info is-
this was originally a cargo ship designed to transport vehicles, workers, shipping containers, and have the ability to latch onto other ships just in case. all while being able to serve as an emergency base

Have there been attempts to create a living weapon Pikmin? Yes
However, creation of new types, Pikmin genetic engineering/modification, and the creation of artificial- lab made Pikmin, is nowhere near reaching that goal.
In fact, it is very unsuccessful
I will show more in a later post

While Olimar's tales of the Pikmin were what sparked the inspiration for the Pikmin trade. Louie's stint as a celebrity TV chef, however brief it may have been, had effect on culinary trends amongst the rich, the thrill seekers, and the influencers (cont.)
