Molash Creek marks the northern edge of the Point Beach Ridges State Natural Area (SNA #87). The SNA includes 11 alternating ridges and swales and is home to some rare and uncommon plant life.

There are many American beech trees in the Point Beach State Forest.
The Swales nature trail is a short hike through the forest and includes educational signs about the Great Lakes' dune and swale (or ridge and swale) ecosystem.

The 1929 Grover/Smith Cabin is located along the Rawley Point Recreational Trail in the Point Beach State Forest. In front of the cabin is a small sign explaining when it was built and when it was restored (2003).
