Pollution pricing is delivering real results.

By 2030, it’s projected to account for as much as 1/3 of Canada’s emissions reductions.

Between 2019 and 2021 alone, #pollutionPricing prevented 18 megatonnes of emissions that would otherwise have entered our atmosphere.

The report also reaffirms what we’ve always said: the Canada Carbon Rebate works. It offsets the costs of #pollutionPricing for most Canadians, ensuring families—especially those with lower incomes—are better off.

In their study, Winter & Tombe found that #pollutionPricing has contributed to less than 0.5% of the increase in consumer prices since 2019.

That’s a small & nearly insignificant fraction of the overall increase in costs Canadians have faced.
