#Ponteland plaque in St Mary's Church, Ponteland, in memory of Private William Jameson, Imperial Yeomanry. Killed in action, aged 28 at Doorn River, South Africa, on this day 5th November 1900.
He was a gardener and florist before joining up and lived in Belle Villas Ponteland.
