While on the subject of Powerless series, I just want to point out I don’t get why the author wrote Mak in Fearless so hateful towards Paedyn. Like Adena would’ve been mad as hell at Mak for blaming her best friend for her death, let’s be real.

I really like the pacing of Kai and Pae’s relationship in this series. I like that book 1 was just letting the chemistry and tension between the grow and not letting anything really happen between them until the second book. Couples hit so much harder when it’s a slow burn.
