In recent history, a number of #Republican presidents sought #Iran out to help in tough situations. Iran extended the help, hoping to fix tensions with Washington. At best, it modestly eased them. Ex. #PresidentReagan (Lebanon Hostage Crisis) #PresidentGWBush (Iraq crisis)
