👍 Great to see #ProfessionalEnablers and Politically Exposed Persons #PEPs (who abuse their power to steal state resources) put front and centre of the new system priorities published by the National Crime Agency yesterday:
🔍 The NRA puts a central focus on #ProfessionalEnablers. The legal sector for example is assessed to still have a high money laundering risk, with no significant change in vulnerabilities since 2020.
This kind of enforcement action against #ProfessionalEnablers for alleged #AML breaches has (so far) been vanishingly rare, so we’ll be watching the case closely from their first appearance at Westminster Magistrate Court on 17 June:
