This was the original announcement of the federal investment that helped kick this off, put together by my #GCComms team with NFI from 2024.

Pleased to say my team put this announcement out today, highlighting important work that policy colleagues in our Manitoba region have been doing on a critical trade corridor for the West.
Critics want proof of Churchill's potential. I think it's self-evident. More data coming.

So cool to see this work underway. Colleagues of mine in Winnipeg have put on a ton of back-office work to bring partners together and leverage federal funding to make it happen.

And thank you, Ken. The initial driver of the project was former minister Randy Boissonnault. My current minister @eleanorolszewski.bsky.social made it happen.
CKUA is such a unique institution in Canada. I'm glad to have played a small role.

A bunch of the downtown Winnipeg revitalization work is due to the success of the Forks North Portage Partnership. The collaboration between the City, Province and Prairies Economic Development Canada as equals is unique in this country.
It should be celebrated.

Winnipeg's revitalization well underway.
Not mentioned here: my federal department - Prairies Economic Development Canada - is an equal player with the Province and City in the Forks North Portage Partnership, planning (and often funding) lots of the downtown redevelopment.

This is an important day in Jasper - a place I loved being a part of when I lived in Alberta. Those memories are indelible and I'm with Jasperites in spirit today.
Glad to say my employer, Prairies Economic Development Canada, is among the orgs helping the community come back.

Love Rice-Howard Way - spend time there every time I'm back in town.
BTW: nice view at the end of the street of my department's HQ at Canada Place.
