Metershoge oude sleedoorns (Prunus spinosa) gaan hier nu bloeien maar ze staan ook veel in de gemengde hagen rond weilanden. Vanaf de zomer tot na de winter zie je de blauwe berijpte pruimpjes aan de struiken zitten.

It’s that time of year for collecting sloes for sloe gin. They look so plump and juicy this year I was very tempted to eat one but know from experience how astringent they are! The colour is beautiful though especially with the waxy bloom.
