I approve of making motorists contribute to transit, but the cynical part of me wonders if the CAQ will weaponise this move later on to turn motorists against transit.

This is good news. I kind of expected the CAQ to u-turn on this, because the threat of killing commuter lines was clearly unpopular. Very interesting they're choosing to partially fund this by increasing vehicle registration.
