Fatal Fury Saga (1991–1999)
Fatal Fury (1991)
In the inaugural Fatal Fury, Terry and Andy reunite after ten years apart to confront Geese Howard in the "King of Fighters" tournament. Terry, having developed his own unique fighting style, triumphs over Geese, avenging his father by knocking Geese from Geese Tower. Geese seemingly falls to his death, though he would later return.

Fatal Fury 2 and Fatal Fury Special (1992–1993)
A year later, a new villain, Wolfgang Krauser, Geese's half-brother, emerges as Terry’s rival. Krauser, formidable in strength and technique, challenges Terry directly. After intense battles, Terry ultimately defeats Krauser, cementing his status as one of the world’s greatest fighters. In these games, Terry's moveset matured, introducing iconic attacks such as "Power Wave," "Burn Knuckle," "Crack Shoot," and "Power Geyser."

The King of Fighters Series (1994–Present)
Parallel to his Fatal Fury appearances, Terry starred consistently in SNK’s flagship crossover series, The King of Fighters (KOF).

Initially driven by revenge, Terry evolved significantly throughout SNK’s storylines. Starting as a brash, street-smart young man, his character gradually matured into a grounded, compassionate mentor figure. His relationship with Rock Howard symbolizes his growth, shifting from seeking revenge on Geese to caring for Geese’s own son as his adopted family.

Terry embodies American fighting spirit and heroism. He maintains a laid-back, easygoing nature but carries a strong sense of justice and kindness. His charisma, casual but confident manner, and legendary catchphrases such as:

"Are you okay?" (before executing his iconic "Buster Wolf")
"Hey, c'mon, c'mon!"
"Power Wave!"
"Burn Knuckle!"
...became cultural touchstones.
