I tend to describe the weather when it impacts the scene. If my characters are outside on the roof of a parking garage in the middle of summer they won’t want to be there long because it’s hot and Texas. That’s when I describe it.

In my current urban fantasy series magic is real. The ability to use magic is endowed on a person at birth. Mages can go into many different schools but the main one in my books is a necromancer.
