If you attended our talk at #RBMS25, I am thrilled to announce that our paper, "I Despise It, But it Works: Social Media Outreach in Special Collections" has been accepted for publication in The American Archivist. I am so excited for you all to peek at the insights from this survey data!
Very grateful to have connected with so many colleagues and friends at #RBMS25 this week.
Each interaction was too short and yet nourishing, especially during a time of collective struggle.
It’s been a pleasure engaging with others and learning from their experiences. Grateful to be part of this community as one of your scholarship recipients—thank you for the opportunity! Thank you @rbmsinfo.bsky.social
& @ala-acrl.bsky.social!
Looking forward for next year! #rbms25
Conversations at #RBMS25 really made me want to rewatch Dahomey and kind of wish we could have had a discussion about it

"Vesuvius in Eruption" watercolor by Turner at the Yale Center for British Art. The painting is rendered in luminous oranges, browns, and blues, the center of the eruption bright with heat.
Interior of the Yale University Art Gallery: A gothic revival hall with tall bright windows to the right contains a number of vitrines filled with Greek pottery and beyond that plinths hold various marble heads.
Interior of the Beineke Library: six stories of glass-encased rare books stacks loom at the center of a large open space inside a building.
A page spread from the Voynich manuscript at the Beineke, featuring drawings of plants and indescipherable script.
I had a lovely time at the #RBMS25 conference and visiting Yale for the first time. As anticipated, it's a beautiful campus with amazing collections. Now, onward to Massachusetts!

Administrative and document bureaucracy, dispossession, and gatekeeping with the intent to acquire land and displace Indigenous Peoples. #rbms25
A recurring theme of #RBMS25 is the importance of community building and continual relationships, which is completely at odds with temp/term limited positions that are still all too prevalent in the profession.
