5 letters. RIP JV.
Voice of snooker for the last couple of decades. #RIPJohnVirgo
John Virgo did the Southend Cliffs Pavilion panto when we went for the school trip one year. It was Cinderella, so he got to do the line "go to as many balls as you can". #RIPJohnVirgo
G'night JV #RIPJohnVirgo
This news makes me sad 🥹
He was the voice of snooker for decades, so this is the end of an era.
I spent hundreds of hours hearing his commentary. And as a kid I'd watch him on Big Break. #RIPJohnVirgo
Danielle Blake: We’ll never know where the cue ball’s going now
To be fair, John Virgo didn't know where the cue ball was going either, but he was the only man brave enough to always ask the question. 🧔♂️ #RIPJohnVirgo #snooker

I’m very sad to hear the news that John Virgo has died, aged 79. A fine player & a great TV commentator, he was the voice of #Snooker in recent years, & his infectious “Where’s the cue ball going?!” became a much loved snooker catchphrase. #RIPJohnVirgo
Absolutely joyful to watch….and hear…… #RIPJohnVirgo ❤️
Oh no! The cue ball's gone... #RIPJohnVirgo
