A line chart titled “R‑Ladies Global – LinkedIn Followership” showing the growth of the organization’s LinkedIn followers from 2021 to 2026. The x‑axis is labeled “Date” and spans five years, while the y‑axis is labeled “Followers,” ranging from 4,000 to 9,000. Black circular points mark follower counts at various dates, and a red line connects them to show the overall trend. The line rises steadily from just over 4,000 followers in early 2021 to nearly 9,000 by 2026, with noticeable periods of faster growth around early 2024 and again near early 2026. The chart has a clean white background with light gray gridlines, emphasizing the upward trajectory of the community’s reach on LinkedIn.

My #RoCur period is coming to an end. After this week, my heart is full & I feel so grateful to be part of this community! 💜

We talked about #DataViz on #TidyTuesday, the #rainbowR conference and #Rstats for #SEM 📈

Today I debugged code for a simulation study on the association of home environment and child development 🤓📚

Previous versions of this plot included random jitters due to some unknown cause (looking at you #OpenMx 👀) but I fixed it now 📈

How have you used #RStats this week?

#Rladies #ggplot2

#SEM is a vast field that I still only know a part of. What worked best for me was understanding the theory first and then writing minimal models from scratch (e.g., a regression, a CFA)

#OpenMx has a culture of script-sharing and wrapper functions, which has been helpful as well.

I personally use ggthemes and the neat wrapper package #tidyplots (tidyplots.org) to quickly get to a professional-looking plot! 🖼️ The tidyplots developer @jbengler.de has a lot of example code available on his profile.

What is your favorite #DataViz hack? 📈

Hi, I’m this week’s curator, Josi! I‘m a PhD student in statistical genetics 🧬 and use #RStats to do #SEM. I dabble in #DataViz and recently wrote my first #Rpackage. My hobbies are reading #Fantasy books 📚 and #maximalism. You may catch me at a conference matching my outfit to my poster 🤓🧜🏽‍♀️ #rladies

Hugo can be tricky - you're juggling data structures, template syntax, and build processes. My chapter list was empty despite having the data files, and how did I get the data easily into the content adapter? Where do you even start?
