📡 Since 2020, WG-119 has been working on enhancing the robustness of Radar Altimeters in an increasingly complex #RadioFrequency environment.
🔐 WG-72 ‘Aeronautical Systems #Security’ and SC-216 met at #RTCA premises in Washington, D.C., to advance their work programme. The discussions were highly constructive as they moved forward with their standardisation efforts.
📶 WG-92 #VDL2 met with #RTCA SC-222 and #SAE AEEC at @eurocontrol.bsky.social premises in Brussels to progress their work programme. Great discussions as they move forward with their standardisation efforts.
📡 WG-62 #GNSS, in collaboration with #RTCA SC-159-WG2, held an intensive working session at the @ec.europa.eu Joint Research Centre #JRC in Ispra, Italy.

📶 WG-92 ‘VDL Mode 2’ and #RTCA SC-214 met in Paris, hosted by #SITA just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower! The group collaborates with AEEC's DLK Systems Subcommittee to ensure alignment within #VDL Mode 2 standards.
👁️🗨️ WG-79 ‘Enhanced Vision Systems #EVS, Synthetic Vision Systems #SVS’ and #RTCA SC-213 convened at our Paris facilities to continue work on a new report that will define the scope of their next deliverable.

A productive week for our Working Groups!
🛫 WG-78 ‘Standards for Air Traffic Data Communication Services’ and #RTCA SC-214 met at @eurocontrol.bsky.social Maastricht UAC. The team worked intensively on ensuring #datalink support for future Trajectory-Based Operations #TBO.
📡 WG-62 and RTCA SC-159 #GNSS convened at #RTCA in Washington, DC, to continue updating ED-259A “MOPS for Dual-Frequency Multi-Constellation Satellite-Based Augmentation System Airborne Equipment”.
⚙️ WG-128 and #RTCA SC-243 ‘Airborne Electronic Hardware Design Assurance’ gathered in Santa Cruz, hosted by #JobyAviation, to work on updating ED-80.

🛫 WG-44 and #RTCA SC-217 ‘Aeronautical Databases’ met at #EUROCAE to advance the development of ED-77B “User Requirements for Navigation Data”. Members finalised the drafting and released the document for Open Consultation.
Summary of #RTCA : #diesel must die, and soon. Including black C, it's worse than petrol for climate & it's killing us.
At @IAQM_UK #RTCA conf, heard that 'after-market' car mods are fairly common and can have big impact on emissions. Time to legislate?
