Based on a short story by W.W.Jacobs, Olwen Wymark's grandfather, who inspired #PatrickWymark 's stage name. In a way, it's a pity that Wymark and #RachelHerbert didn't do a TV remake of FOOTSTEPS IN THE FOG rather than TOP OF THE LADDER in 1967.
