I’m so grateful that my grandparents raised me on her music. For years now, she has been a regular presence through my own workflow. My art embodies a love for vibrant colors and an unconventional style that she also brought to the counterculture movement of her own time. Her electric energy every time she grabbed a microphone was palpable. It is an experience that we will never forget. I have the utmost love, gratitude, and respect for all of these wonderful people for chasing their dreams and helping me to continue believing in my own. What an incredible blessing to meet the legendary Ahmed that morning, and he is as pure and sweet and funny of a human being as you could ever imagine.
