She dotes on him for being her first junior and is frequently roped into her antics because he just has more free time compared to Belle Wise is also less talented than Belle when it comes to Perception Technique so Shungguang personally helps him train. It feels nice to be doted on but he wants to his senior to admire him a bit so he trains harder and also takes the time to introduce Shungguang to the metropolitan world after years of staying in seclusion

Shiyuan ▶️ Belle His junior, someone he didn't have high expectations for because it was a job from the Mayor but Belle turned out to be an exceptional Suibian Temple disciple Her gumshoe and slightly rushy nature compared to her calmer brother reminds him of him and Shungguang's dynamics and his protective side naturally came out because of this However, it soon became clear to Shiyuan that what he's feeling wasn't the same brotherly affection he feels towards Shungguang, rather it's a more non-platonic feeling. He feels conflicted revealing his feelings to Belle with both their status as martial siblings and his devotion to rid Shungguang's curse with the Qingmeng sword Knowing there is a chance that cursed sword may bring misfortune to himself, he'd rather not rope Belle into it and thus tries to keep her at arm's length. Which is hard to do because Belle and her bullrush attitude

Shungguang ▶️ Wise She didn't expect that there would be new changes after her few years in seclusion. Ecstatic is the least she could describe of her feelings She couldn't help but dote on her 2 juniors and she'd endearingly write about this memory and her feelings of it in her journal Wise is more available than Belle with the latter tasked on personal Proxy missions, so she helps Wise with his training whenever the other disciples aren't available Surprisingly Wise also helps her! Getting her in touch with the new things that has happened ever since her seclusion, showing her things in Inter-Knot, recommending and watching documentary movies with her in topics they're interested at

Wise remarked that he's a pretty boring dude and there's not much excitement in his companionship. But, perhaps, to someone who is fated to gradually erode her life to the whims of the sword. Always against the forces of malice and all that is unjust to the world Perhaps, what Shungguang needs is that peaceful, boring moment of respite with him
