Dr Alisi Mekatoa has recently joined the BRACE Rapid Evaluation team as a Research Fellow and found out more about the Rapid Evaluation Community by attending their Conference last week. Thanks @healthfoundation.bsky.social @nuffieldtrust.bsky.social #RapidEvaluation
Recordings of sessions from last week's #RapidEvaluation Conference, with @healthfoundation.bsky.social, are now available to watch on our website.
This year's conference explored how the health and care system can make the most of the shift to digital.

Thank you to everyone who took part at the #RapidEvaluation Conference today! 👏
We're really pleased to bring together representatives from the rapid evaluation community each year and this time we heard all about how to make the most of digital tech in health and care.
From #RapidEvaluation 2025: Successful data systems rely on more than technology. We need to build clear, efficient, and well-designed processes to support high quality data collection and sharing. Process design is critical for meaningful improvement.
Important reminder at #RapidEvaluation 2025: Technology must be user-centred and designed for standardised, structured, re-usable data. Better data design = less duplication, better sharing, and improved patient outcomes.
At #RapidEvaluation 2025: Data sharing requires trust at every level. We must understand the skills & needs of users—patients, clinicians, coders, researchers, & teams. People are at the heart of good data systems
At #RapidEvaluation 2025, the risks of poor data quality in digital health were highlighted. Caroline Chung (MD Anderson): The diverse nature of healthcare data and poor data hygiene hold back AI from taking on more sophisticated tasks. Clean data must come first.
A key takeaway at #RapidEvaluation 2025: Digital transformation is about more than technology. It’s about designing better ways to collect, share, and use data so staff can focus on care, not admin. Smarter data systems reduce duplication and support safer, faster care.
#RapidEvaluation 2025: Sharing data in reusable formats reduces staff workload & prevents duplication of effort. A clear case for interoperability & thoughtful data design in health services.
At #RapidEvaluation 2025: “How we collect data determines its quality.” Whether by healthcare staff, patients, or carers, ease of entry is vital. Poor systems = poor data. We must design for simplicity + usability.
AI as a tool in evidence synthesis. Now up James Thomas from UCL #rapidevaluation
Very pleased to be in the packed room at #rapidevaluation conf on tech-enabled change.
Big questions:
How best to provide much needed evidence? How to ensure equity?

TODAY: We are hosting the #RapidEvaluation Conference 2025 alongside @healthfoundation.bsky.social at BMA House.
The day of panels and workshops will consider how health and social care can make the most of the shift to digital, with a robust and timely evidence base as important as ever.
At #RapidEvaluation 2025: Using tech to replace or supplement care changes interactions between patients & providers. It impacts staff roles, increases or reduces workloads, and creates new distributed ways of working. We must plan for these shifts.

Packed room at #rapidevaluation conference for opening plenary. Lots of potential for tech enabled change in the #NHS, but lots required to make it happen: interoperability, better procurement, cultural change etc. Will 10y.p help?!

During #RapidEvaluation 2025, Mindy Simon reflected on the ongoing challenge of remaining current as technology advances and older systems become obsolete. Maintaining adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning is vital. Stay informed through professional networks and publications
Delighted to attend the Rapid Evaluation in Health Care 2025 event hosted by @HealthFdn! and discussions on embedding real-time learning and agile evaluation into healthcare improvement #rapidevaluation
