It's prolly cause I'm #dyslexic and SLOW. Every time I'm like 5 or 10 pages into a book, my brain's like "But what if one of the others is better?" Which becomes an obsessive thought and I can't focus on my book anymore

I finished The Lords of Discipline yesterday. It’s a good book, but it’s remarkable for me because it’s the first work of fiction i have read cover-to-cover in almost 10 years

I want to reignite my passion for reading. School literally killed my passion for reading, and it never recovered. How does one rekindle love for reading? I hate seeing reading as a chore. I hate that reading for fun is foreign to me now.

Now there’s a phenomenon happening amongst neurodivergents, called #ExecutiveDysfunction. You’ve heard of #WritersBlock? We’re getting #ReadersBlock. We’re so overwhelmed by society right now that we can’t manage to focus on reading. It’s awful

I’m seeing so much burnout in our community that it is literally staggering. So much executive dysfunction. One of the most common and most deeply upsetting issues is reading. You’ve heard of writers block? Yeah, we’re getting #ReadersBlock. We can’t read books anymore, and we can’t figure out why 😣
