They have a four way variety bend for milling wheat - this is delivering significantly less disease compared to single variety crops. Arable costings are £372 per ha compared to averages of £850 per ha seen elsewhere. #ResilientfarmRoadshow

Since 2014 his approach has been farming with nature. The soil comes first - direct drilling, extensive use of cover crops, integrating livestock and low inputs are at the core of this.

Can we build more legumes into our systems? There is a considerable level of N that can be fixed through them.

We don't make great use of them in this country.

Only about 4% of land in the UK has legumes in them at any one time. #ResilientFarmRoadshow
