Dark, orange paper shopping receipt used as a canvas for black oil stick drawing/painting. A large circle "head" at the top, lines going down from there form a body and arms, and a square and triangle shape in place of "hands". When I was done, I thought it looked like an old-fashioned generic man, maybe from the 50s, carrying perhaps a briefcase and lunch bag.
Retro Man. Oil stick on paper shopping receipt from Blackpool, UK. I was a warm, sunny day, and I needed a cap. 2025. The figure was just what came out of starting to make shapes intuitively. Then I thought, oh, Retro Man.

A paper collage made from an old yoga book and old National Geographics. Sometime probably in 2023 or 4. I called it Water in the Woods at one point.

Paper was previously crumpled which can still be seen. Writing or its impressions show slightly through from the other side in places.
Here's a tiny thing called "Shopping List Shapes" that I drew on the back of a handwritten shopping list left behind in the basket I picked up to shop with. UK, last winter.
